English Language Teachers for BAE (Short Term)

English instructors required for short term positions with BAE in Saudi Arabia. $4500pm +  compound accommodation 

Details of Position

Language Solutions International is recruiting qualified and experienced male EFL instructors to teach male cadets at TSI for BAE Systems Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Initial positions to start in either late June or from mid July 2016 with subsequent positions throughout the year.

Applications are being accepted for temporary positions with contract lengths from 3 months with contract renewals on successful completion of the initial contract. Some exceptional candidates may be invited to angered term direct hire positions either from the initial application stage or on successful completion of a temporary contract.

Duties include delivering general and Technical English language courses to male Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) cadets from CEFR A1 to B1 with 6 classes per day from Sunday to Thursday. Training days being at 06:30 and finish at 15:00 (except Thursdays with a 12:00 finish).

Instructors are expected to prepare, develop and update teaching materials as well as administering and marking tests. Sound IT skills are required for compiling and maintaining student records and progress reports. 

All instructors live on the excellent BAE Sara village compound in Dhahran; compound facilities include swimming pools, gyms, tennis & squash courts, sports classes, pool, bowling alley, Costa cafe, supermarket. Daily transport from compound to training centre provided. 

Applicants must be native English speakers and either British or Irish passport holders. 

All applicants will need to go through an initial security vetting process which requires:

     - original criminal record checks from all countries lived and worked in for the last three years

     - original references to cover the last three years 

The pre-mobilisation process can take two to three months to complete. The initial security vetting process does not require candidates to be in the UK however all applicants will need to be available in the UK for an induction towards the end of the mobilisation process; the induction also requires completing a Fitness to Work medical and checking of all original documents.

All visa applications will be made through London with mobilisation directly after visa has been issued. 

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following:

• A first degree from a recognised university

• RSA CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL or recognised international equivalent (no online certificates)

• 5 years’ relevant experience of teaching in a technical or business environment to young adults at beginner to low intermediate level.

Candidates should have excellent classroom management skills and should be robust enough to deal with what can be a very challenging teaching environment.

Candidates with DELTA or MA TESOL and/or prior experience in the Middle East or training in military contexts will be given preference.

Exceptional candidates may be offered direct hire positions with BAE from either the initial application stage or on completion of temporary positions. A different package is on offer for these positions.
